Simba Flooring

Simba Flooring has 32 vinyl products on our site in five lines, and every one comes with an IXPE underlayment attached, so there is no separate pad to buy. The lines differ mainly in format and wear layer, and thickness runs from 5 mm to 6 mm.

Galaxy (12) has the biggest boards, 1540 mm long and 230 mm wide, with embossed-in-register grain. Galaxy Pressed UGroove (4) is a 6 mm plank with pressed U-groove edges and a thicker 2 mm pad. Both Galaxy lines and Venus (2) have a 0.5 mm wear layer, the one to choose for kitchens, hallways and homes with pets. Venus uses short 750 mm by 150 mm planks for a traditional strip look. Universe (11) and Planet (3) are listed as SPC, with a rigid, waterproof core and a 0.3 mm wear layer that suits bedrooms, offices and lighter-traffic rooms. Universe is a narrower 180 mm plank, and Planet is a 606 mm by 303 mm tile for bathrooms and laundry rooms.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Simba flooring cost installed in Toronto?
Click vinyl is from $3.20 per square foot and glue-down from $5.50 with the glue included. Engineered hardwood is from $4.90 nailed or glued, including the glue and the nails, or $3.20 where it clicks and floats. The floor itself is priced separately, and the figure is fixed in writing after a free in-home measure.

Is Simba vinyl waterproof?
The board itself is waterproof, which is why it suits basements, kitchens and entryways. Water that gets underneath still has to be dried out, so a leak is still a problem - just not one that ruins the planks.

Can I see Simba samples before I decide?
We bring samples to the free in-home measure so you see the boards in your own light, not under showroom lighting.

Do you install Simba outside Toronto?
Yes. We work across Toronto and the GTA, and our installers travel as far as Wasaga Beach, Niagara Falls and Castleton.
