Universe

Universe is Simba Flooring's narrower SPC plank, 180 mm wide and 5 mm thick. Slimmer boards suit smaller rooms such as bedrooms, home offices and condo dens, where a wide plank can look oversized. The stone plastic composite core is rigid and waterproof, so it also works in basements and kitchens.

A 1.5 mm IXPE underlayment comes attached, so the planks go down without a separate pad and footsteps sound softer. The wear layer measures 0.3 mm, finished with an embossed texture. That is lighter than the layer on Galaxy, so for a busy family room or a home with large dogs, Galaxy or Venus is the tougher option. Universe planks are also shorter than Galaxy boards, which makes them easier to handle in tight spaces like closets and hallways.

You can choose from 11 designs, which Simba names by code number. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Universe across Toronto and the GTA, with vinyl installation from $3.20 per square foot.
