Connel Collection

Connel is the Richmond line to look at if you want to match the species to the room, because it spans white oak, maple, hickory and birch. Hickory is the toughest choice for busy family spaces, maple gives a smooth, even surface, and white oak is the reliable all-rounder.

Planks measure 1/2" x 5" in random lengths of 16" to 48". They sit on a multi-layer ply core, carry an aluminum oxide urethane finish and have micro-bevelled edges. The Select (ABC) grade allows some natural marks without going fully rustic. Joints are tongue and groove, and the floor may be floated, glued, stapled or nailed. Radiant heat is fine if installed to the instructions. Richmond gives it a warranty of 25 years for home use and 5 years for light commercial. A carton covers 26.25 sq ft, and pallets hold 36.

There are nine colours: White Oak Arctic, White Oak Chestnut, White Oak Hewitt, Maple Mackintosh, Maple Heart, Hickory New Heaven, Hickory Lexington, Hickory Natural and Birch Country Natural. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Connel Collection across Toronto and the GTA, with engineered hardwood installation from $4.90 per square foot, including glue and nails.
