Green Mountain

Every engineered board in this Appalachian Flooring line is 5" wide and 11.4 mm thick, so choosing comes down to species and colour rather than size. The sheen is ultra-matte over a brushed texture. That means very little shine, and light wear, dust and paw prints stay low-key, which suits family rooms, hallways and homes with dogs.

Red Oak colours are graded Excel, and White Oak comes in Advantage and Excel grades. If you would rather have solid wood, the same styles are also listed as solid 3/4" hardwood in 3 1/4" and 4 1/4" widths. Going engineered gets you a real oak surface on a layered base that stays flatter through Toronto's damp summers and dry, heated winters.

The ten styles are Bolton, Bromley, Killington, Mansfield, Stratton and Sutton in Red Oak, plus Dorset, Jay Peak, Medon and Snowdon in White Oak. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Green Mountain across Toronto and the GTA, with engineered hardwood installation from $4.90 per square foot, including glue and nails.
