Alta Moda

A flat sheen over a brushed surface is what sets Alta Moda apart within Appalachian Flooring's range. The colours carry fabric names such as Taffeta, Linen and Corduroy, and they come in White Oak and Red Oak. With almost no shine and a lightly textured face, everyday scuffs from kids, pets and chair legs are harder to spot than on a glossy floor.

Each colour is listed in both engineered and solid construction. Engineered Red Oak boards are 4" or 5" wide, and White Oak adds a 7" plank for larger, more open rooms. Engineered thickness is 11.4 mm or 18.4 mm, while solid boards are 3/4" thick at 3 1/4" or 4 1/4" wide. White Oak grades run Advantage, Excel, Live Sawn Character and Prestige, and Red Oak is offered in Excel and Prestige. Engineered boards handle seasonal humidity swings better than solid wood.

There are 25 styles, including Angora, Muslin, Suede, Pashmina and Brocade. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Alta Moda across Toronto and the GTA, with engineered hardwood installation from $4.90 per square foot, including glue and nails.
