SPC9

Of all the Toucan SPC lines we carry, SPC9 is the thickest: 9 mm in total, a 7 mm plank with a 2 mm pad fixed to the back. It is also the only one with an embossed-in-register surface, where the texture is pressed to line up with the printed grain, so knots and grain lines feel the way they look.

The boards are long and moderately wide at 59.85 x 7.09 inches (1520 x 180 mm). That length reads well in open main floors, and the thick build with its built-in pad is a good fit for condos and second storeys where sound travels. Wear layer is 20 mil. Toucan lists the planks as 100% waterproof, so basements, kitchens and laundry rooms are all reasonable places for them, and the drop-lock joints mean a glue-free floating install. A 30-year residential and 10-year commercial warranty is listed.
