About the collection
Origins XL by Origins Flooring
Origins XL is Origins Flooring's wide-plank engineered hardwood collection in European oak. The boards are 7½" wide and ¾" thick, in random lengths from 20" to 83", so a room gets long runs of grain with fewer end joints. Every colour has a light hand-scraped and wire-brushed texture under a matte finish, with micro-bevelled edges.
The boards are tongue and groove and go down with nails and glue rather than floating. They are rated for on, above or below grade, so a finished basement is an option as well as main floors and bedrooms. The textured, matte surface is forgiving with pets and kids, since small scratches blend into the brushed grain. A carton covers 21.47 sq ft.
The collection comes in six colours: Maxine Oak, Leah Oak, Evelyn Oak, Emily Oak, Constance Oak and Charlotte Oak. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Origins XL across Toronto and the GTA, with engineered hardwood installation from $4.90 per square foot, including glue and nails.
