Designer

Designer stands apart in Grandeur Flooring's SPC range for its small plank size. Each board is only 5" x 24", so a floor shows many more joints and a busier grain pattern than a long plank. That works well in hallways, entries, powder rooms and smaller kitchens.

Thickness is 7.0 mm, split between a 5.5 mm SPC core and a 1.5 mm EVA layer underneath for comfort and sound. Stone composite will not swell when wet, so a spill by the back door wipes up without damaging the boards. With 0.5 mm (20 mil) of wear protection on top, it handles family traffic and pets. Pieces join by drop-lock and float, and they are rated for on, above or below grade. Plan on more boxes than usual, since each carton covers 6.73 sq ft.

It comes in Rice Lake, Alexandria, Windpoint, Rhodes and Sambro, covering dark and light grey, beige, brown and natural tones. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Designer across Toronto and the GTA, with vinyl installation from $3.20 per square foot.
