Essential by Grandeur Flooring
Essential is Grandeur Flooring's glue-down vinyl, a 3.0 mm LVT sold in two formats. Most colours are 7" x 48" wood-look planks, while Hearthstone, Flagstone and Touchstone are 24" x 24" square tiles in light grey, white and dark grey.
Glue-down vinyl is fastened to the subfloor with adhesive instead of floating. It stays put under heavy furniture and rolling loads, it can cover large rooms without expansion breaks at doorways, and a thin 3.0 mm floor keeps transitions low next to tile or carpet. The trade-off is prep: the subfloor has to be flat and smooth, since a thin floor shows bumps. The wear layer is 0.5 mm (20 mil), and it is rated for on, above or below grade. Plank boxes cover 35 sq ft and tile boxes 34.88 sq ft.
The plank colours are Credit River, Muskoka, Algoquin, Kawartha, Sandbanks, Lake Simcoe and Georgian Bay. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Essential across Toronto and the GTA. See our vinyl flooring installation page, or send us your square footage for a free quote.
