Smooth Sand is sold by the carton, 6 sq. yd. at a time, and the weight quoted is 53 lbs. Fuzion places it in the Canmore collection. As commercial carpet tile it suits the wear of offices, corridors and retail, and every 20" x 19.7" square is independent, so one can be replaced while the others stay. Smooth Sand uses solution dyed nylon fibre, 16 oz. per sq. yd., at 1/10" gauge, above a backing of PVC with fibreglass. The install is a full spread glue-down. Tiles may run monolithic, quarter turn, ashlar or brick.
