Demure

Demure is a 6 1/2" plank with a quiet, light wirebrushed surface, and it is the Fuzion line to consider for white oak at a full 3/4" thickness in a mid width. Four colours are white oak: Quiet Quill, Hushed Hue, Hazel Caress and Faint Fable. Reflections and Allure are listed as oak.

The construction is a sliced wood face layer on a multi-layer plywood core, in random lengths up to 71", with micro-bevelled edges. Colour variation is moderate and the finish is a low-lustre UV-cured polyurethane with aluminum oxide. Faint Fable is also fumed, which gives it a deeper tone than the other five.

A 3/4" board with a plywood core feels solid underfoot and can be nailed, stapled, glued down or floated. The listings show it for on, above or below grade use, so it can run from the main floor down to a finished basement. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Demure across Toronto and the GTA, with engineered hardwood installation from $4.90 per square foot, including glue and nails.
