Monarch Woods

Monarch Woods is a wide oak plank on a full 3/4" multi-layer plywood core, with beveled edges that give each 7 1/2" board a defined outline. The top is a 2mm sliced wood face, and lengths are random up to 75".

Half of the six colours are fumed, which darkens the oak: Sovereign Sable, Royal Rye and Aristo Ash. Regent Rustic, Imperium and Courtly Cream have the same wirebrushed texture without fuming. Each has moderate variation in colour, and the UV-cured polyurethane with aluminum oxide is low in lustre, which keeps glare down in bright rooms and stands up to hallway traffic.

Because the boards can be nailed, stapled, glued down or floated, Monarch Woods fits most subfloors, whether that means plywood in a detached house or a concrete slab in a condo. The wide plank and beveled edge make it a good pick for living rooms and open main floors where you want the boards to read clearly. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Monarch Woods across Toronto and the GTA, with engineered hardwood installation from $4.90 per square foot, including glue and nails.
