Coastline by Fuzion
Coastline gives you a wide 7 1/2" plank in a lighter 1/2" thickness, which helps when you need to meet the height of an adjoining floor. Boards have a 2mm sliced wood face over a multi-layer plywood core, run in random lengths up to 71", and finish with micro-bevelled edges.
Six of the eight colours are wirebrushed oak: Tidepool Hue, Saltwash, Ocean Bluff, Lighthouse Shadow, Dune Crest and Coral Haven. Golden Sands and Gaviota Bay are handscraped hickory. Hickory is a harder species than oak with more movement in the grain, which suits busy homes with dogs. Every Coastline colour has moderate variation and is finished in UV-cured polyurethane with aluminum oxide, with a low sheen.
Coastline can go down four ways: nailed, stapled, glued down or floated. That covers most Toronto homes, from plywood subfloors in older houses to concrete slabs in condos and basements, and the boards are suitable on, above or below grade. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Coastline across Toronto and the GTA, with engineered hardwood installation from $4.90 per square foot, including glue and nails.
