The 20 mil wear layer on River Bend Oak (00296) is the number worth knowing, because that clear layer takes the grit, claws and chair legs before the pattern underneath ever sees them. The plank is SPC, 4.4 mm thick and 7 inches by 48 inches, finished with ArmourBead and cut with a micro bevel along the edges. Being a rigid stone-composite core, it is waterproof and stable, and Shaw Floors clears it for above, on and below grade installs. It floats over a prepared subfloor. Cartons hold 27.73 sq ft, and the planks are made in Vietnam. 22FLOORING supplies and installs River Bend Oak across Toronto and the GTA, with vinyl installation from $3.20 per square foot.
