Foundation 2520

Foundation 2520 is a Twelve Oaks dryback vinyl plank, meaning it is glued down to the subfloor instead of floating. Fourteen of the 15 colours are 1/8" thick, 7-3/8" wide and 48" long, with a 20 mil (0.5 mm) wear layer. Distant Lands is the exception, listed at 3/32" thick and 48-1/4" long with a 12 mil (0.3 mm) wear layer.

A thin glue-down plank keeps floor height low, which helps where new flooring has to meet existing tile, stair nosings or doors that cannot be trimmed much. The 20 mil wear layer holds up well to kids, pets and busy kitchens. Because every plank is bonded down, the subfloor has to be flat and clean first, so levelling is often part of the job. Edges are micro V-bevelled, colour variation is listed as low, and a box covers 37.2 sq ft. The maker's installation conditions call for a room at 18 to 27 °C with humidity held between 35% and 55%.
