Tawny Oak (00203) comes in 7 inch by 48 inch planks, a size that lays out quickly in a hallway or a mid-sized bedroom without looking oversized. Boards are 4.8 mm thick with micro bevelled edges, and an EVA pad is bonded to the back of each one at the factory, so the underlay is handled before the planks reach your door. The core is SPC, waterproof and rigid, and Shaw Floors rates the plank for above, on and below grade use. A 12 mil wear layer under the ArmourBead finish deals with everyday scuffs and scratches. A carton holds 18.67 sq ft, and the planks are made in Vietnam. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Tawny Oak across Toronto and the GTA, with vinyl installation from $3.20 per square foot.
