Nouveau 6

Nouveau 6 is Biyork's 6-1/2" wide engineered hardwood in a full 3/4" thickness, and it is the one Nouveau line that mixes three species: European oak, hickory and a single walnut. Boards come in random lengths and a character grade, so knots and colour variation from board to board are part of the look. Most colours are wirebrushed, and the hickory styles are listed as wirebrushed or handscraped, textures that help hide scratches from pets and kids.

The boards can go on, above or below grade, so a finished basement is an option. Oak and walnut colours are compatible with radiant heat, but the hickory colours are excluded, so choose oak or walnut if you have in-floor heating. Every oak colour also has an anti-bacterial coating. Each style lists a 30-year residential warranty and FloorScore indoor air quality certification.

There are 24 styles, including Black Forest, Chelsea Grey, Skagen, Silver Fox and Walnut Natural. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Nouveau 6 across Toronto and the GTA, with engineered hardwood installation from $4.90 per square foot, including glue and nails.
