Loft Collection

Loft keeps things simple: a smooth plank 5 inches (127 mm) wide and 1/2 inch (12 mm) thick, in random lengths from 16 to 48 inches. Natural and Java Birch are birch, and Steel Maple is maple. Narrow boards in shorter lengths suit bedrooms, home offices and smaller condo rooms.

Each plank uses a sliced 2 mm veneer over a 9 ply tongue and groove core, with microbevelled edges and an Endura aluminum oxide finish. Both species are rated 1260 on the Janka scale. A smooth face shows the grain clearly but also shows scratches more than a brushed one, so felt pads under chairs are worth adding. Grading is ABCD with high board variation.

Loft is CARB2 compliant and approved for radiant heat, and it can be stapled, glued or floated. Boxes cover 19.68 sq ft, or 19.37 sq ft for Steel Maple. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Loft across Toronto and the GTA, with engineered hardwood installation from $4.90 per square foot, including glue and nails.
