Opal gives an installer four ways to fix it down: perimeter tape, perimeter glue, a full glue down, or loose lay. Whichever one we use, the base has to be clean, dry and level, and that prep work is part of the job. Opal is an engineered luxury vinyl tile from Fuzion, SKU VSE1027 in the SmartDrop Elite Tile collection, measuring 18" x 36" at 5 mm thick with square edges and an embossed finish. The 0.5 mm, 20 mil wear surface and the below-grade rating make it practical for basement rec rooms and back halls. It is FloorScore certified and works with hydronic radiant heat. Coverage is 36 sq ft per carton. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Opal across Toronto and the GTA, with glue-down vinyl installation from $5.50 per square foot, including glue.
