The wear layer on Greige Walnut (05078) is 6 mil, thinner than you get on a heavy-traffic plank, so this one makes most sense in bedrooms, offices, guest suites or a rental unit where the floor is not under constant load. What it keeps is the SPC core, waterproof and rigid, rated for above, on and below grade. Shaw Floors builds it 4.4 mm thick, 7 inches by 48 inches, with square edges and an ArmourBead finish, and bonds an EVA pad to the back so no underlay is needed. The planks float rather than being glued. Coverage is 27.73 sq ft per carton. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Greige Walnut across Toronto and the GTA, with vinyl installation from $3.20 per square foot.
