Skyline by Beaulieu
Skyline is a PermaLuxe luxury vinyl tile, 12 inches (304.8 mm) wide, with travertine and leather surfaces rather than wood grain. Chicago, Dubai, New York and Tokyo are travertine in a mat sheen, while Salerno, Sparta and Turin are leather-textured with a high gloss.
The tiles are 3 mm of virgin PVC with a dry back, which means they are glued to the subfloor. Glue-down tile suits bathrooms, entryways and kitchens where you want a firm, fixed floor, but the base must be flat and clean first, and that prep is part of every quote. Thin tiles also keep transitions to neighbouring rooms low.
Wear protection comes from UV-cured polyurethane reinforced with ceramic bead technology, and the tiles carry a general commercial abrasion rating. All four edges carry a micro bevel, and the tiles list IIC 62 and STC 68 for sound. There are seven styles in all. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Skyline across Toronto and the GTA.
