Adventure

Adventure is a HydraLuxe engineered vinyl plank from Beaulieu, built on a WPC core, so spills and damp basement air are not a problem the way they would be for wood or laminate. Each plank is 7.8 mm thick and 7.087" x 48.031" long, with a 1.5 mm cork backing already attached. Cork takes the clatter out of footsteps, which helps in condos and upstairs bedrooms, and several colours list sound ratings of IIC 72 and STC 69.

The 0.55 mm wear layer sits under a UV-cured acrylic finish with a matte sheen, a sensible choice for busy family rooms with kids and pets. Some colours have registered embossing that follows the grain and others a medium emboss, and every edge carries a micro bevel. The planks connect with the Välinge 2G angle-to-angle lock: you tilt the long side in and lay it flat, and the floor floats with no glue.

The collection comes in thirteen colours: Carleton, Denali, Everest, Fairweather, Makalu, Matterhorn, Mont Blanc, Musgrave, Orford, Pumori, Rainier, Sandford and Twin Peak. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Adventure across Toronto and the GTA, with vinyl installation from $3.20 per square foot.
